Readers want to know how homeowners are helping survivors, and how survivors
lives are being changed for the better by being welcomed into a stranger's
home. We welcome both homeowners and Katrina survivors to provide your
story here so that the world can read how homeowners are helping survivors, and
how survivors live's are being improved by housing made available by generous
homeowners.
We strongly suggest you complete your story offline before submitting here. Save the story on your own computer in the unlikely event that the submission form fails and you have to click back. Use a
word processing program or a text editor such as notepad. When your story
is complete, copy and paste it into the large text box below.
Story writing tips:
Note that stories should be no longer than 6000 characters. Write your
story in a style that will be enjoyable to read. Please refrain from using
ALL CAPS or other improper grammar. Provide an interesting headline below
that leads the reader into wanting to read your story. For security
control, we suggest you do not include exact street addresses or last names
unless relevant to the story.
